A Shared World

Every novel is standalone with a cast of diverse characters that changes from story to story. However, they are all connected by the same world. 

This is the world of Uligel. An entirely new setting, this world is caught in a conflict between the elements themselves: Flame, Shadow, Life, Death, Earth, and Water. Sentient and aware, magic can only be used with permission. Their attention is distracted, but they have enough awareness to know every single mage who uses their power. 

Inspired by the sorrowful, quiet landscapes of Elden Ring and the Dark Souls franchise, it is set 300 years after "The Great War". After the alliances of Flame and Shadow tried to end the eternal conflict, it is a haunted and ruined world. It might never reclaim the glory and progress it once had, but there is hope of a brighter future still. Surrounded by ruins and reminders of the pain and destruction, every character has to reckon with a world that still carries the scars of old hatreds.
